Today I bought this wonderful hat... I was mad for having one like this, and I finally found it!! Great!! I cannot wait for using it!!
So today I spent the day with Rocío, we had lunch and after that, we took these delicious cakes!
I know, I was supposed to write about the interview I made to The Last 3 Lines, but I prefer to show it to you with proper pictures, so please, wait a little bit about this! Anyway, I'm preparing a few more interviews to great persons, you'll see them very soon :)!
So, this was supposed to be the end of today's post, but I really would like to talk about something that makes me think about the fashion world sometimes.
"Just because you like to dress a beautiful dress by Carolina Herrera (...) doesn't mean that you're stupid"
Anna Wintour.
Yes, that's it. Maybe we like beautiful dresses. Maybe we like talking about style, but isn't style some kind of art? I mean, we are not stupid for appreciate a beautiful design by Viktor & Rolf. We're not stupid for seeing in the street what's going on. I think that people who work in fashion should have a special point of view and sense, a point for catching the cool If you understand me.
And I really don't think that you must be cool or fashion for working in this world. Maybe you've got that sense but not with yourself, so what? If you can create beautiful things, what's the problem?
Let's face it: I don't want a famous blog full of followers who only say "cute" when I post a picture. I want to be valued by myself, I want you to read what I normally write here, as I read your blogs, the full entries... Maybe, with this way, I'm not gonna be the most famous blogger od the moment, but who cares about this?
Only because I want to work in fashion doesn't mean that I'm a superficial person, or stupid... right? Indeed, I think that I'm a smart girl... and I treat you all as smart persons too. As I see you intelligent, I'll treat you as intelligent people.
So treat me like that too, please.
And after this philosophy lesson (sorry about that), I wish you all a lovely weekend!
saludos
muak!!
Ohhh, I loove your new hat! Very very cute, I want one like this too... :D
ReplyDeleteI really love your style girl!
:*
Your hat is adorable, I've been looking for one just like it! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I completely agree with everything you said. It's so tiring to constantly hear people insult those of us who appreciate fashion. It really is an art form! And it's an amazing way of expressing yourself, just like painting or writing music. Think how dull the world would be without fashion!

ReplyDeleteQue rica merienda!

XD
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, you look so darling in that hat! Anne of Green Gables is my fave book character ever! Love you more just for this pic hehe:P
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with what you said, being interested in fashion doesn't mean we're stupid.
I'm sure you already know how much I love you and your blog!!
xx
I love the hat
ReplyDeleteMe encanta tu gorro!! Felicidades!! Haces unas fotos increíbles!
ReplyDeleteNos vemos mañana! ;)
Cool hat! And I absolutely love your animated picture. So clever! I was quite taken by this sentence of Anna Wintour in the September Issue, too. She is certainly not a stupid person.
1 beso!
P.D. Te he dejado un premio!
You've described exactly the kind of fashion (blogging) "challenges" I'm going through as well. I guess the good old "be yourself" applies here too. Otherwise we probably wouldn't be content with what we do anyway.
ReplyDeleteyou look wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteI love these photos! the quality is so great and you look lovely! x
