Looking for The Primary Colors (A Trip to London, Part III)

Hey there, stranger.

My last two days in London a year ago were all about walking around and visiting fantastic places. After partying hard at the Cave Club the night before, Saturday was all about comfort food and visiting Camden Town. After 10 years without visiting there, you can imagine that the shock was quite big.

Nice places around Alkmaar: Sweets & Antiques

Hey there, stranger.

If there's something I miss from the "outside" world, is having coffee, some sweets and a nice chat with a friend somewhere nice. Here in Alkmaar the perfect place for that, at least for me, is Sweets & Antiques and believe me, I miss it quite a lot!

In the old town of Alkmaar, you will find the candy store of Han and Esther, a lovely little place full of curiosities and nice food that will delight those with a sweet tooth. When you enter inside, you can see yourself in an old Dutch candy store from the early XX century, surrounded by more than 200 different types of candy contained in old glass jars and vintage cans.

Looking for the Primary Colors (A trip to London, part II)

Hey there, stranger.

My second day in London City was a dream come true. Not only the night before I could attend a gig for which I was waiting a long time but also the weather was beautiful and I was hungry for art and culture.

After having breakfast with Helena, I took the public transport again and made my way to The Wallace Collection, a personal matter pending between me and London for a long time now.

Het Kattenkabinet

One of the biggest pleasures that you can have when moving to a foreign country is to look with fresh eyes into the secrets of the cities, secrets that perhaps the locals know but have never visited because they're simply there, "and you can always visit". But now, in time of coronavirus, I keep looking to all these photos and although I haven't been a good blogger (yes, I had the time but sometimes sitting down to write it's difficult, especially when you've lost the habit), I'm gonna try to make it up to y'all.

So last summer I was really willing to visit the Kattenkabinet, a place full of curiosities, and I was lucky enough to count with my beloved friend Cassie to come with me (remember her from this previous post? She's such a lovely person, believe me!).

Visiting the Schuttersgalerij at Kalverstraat

Hey there, stranger;

How are you doing? I hope you're safe at home, taking care of yourself and the ones you love. Seems that we are gonna be stuck together for a while, and although I don't wanna spend my days in front of the laptop, I'm gonna try to update this a little bit more frequently with nice places I've been discovering around The Netherlands, so you have something to read and look forward when all the quarantines end.

A couple of weeks ago, before all the madness started in Europe, I met my beloved Cassie for a treat to ourselves having some delicious brunch and a nice walk around Amsterdam.

Every time that you lose it sing it for the world (Karaoke Meet)

Hey there, stranger.

Some weeks ago we had a super nice meet at the Duke of Tokyo, a Japanese-style karaoke in the heart of Amsterdam. The lovely Rossella (@girlfromtherosegarden) took the time to organized it and gurl, what a great idea she had! I cannot thank her enough for this fun experience with the rest of the comm!

A short visit to my favourite place in The Netherlands: Teylers Museum

Hey there, stranger.

What have you been doing this week?

Mine was pretty busy, but I'm trying to come with a plan to make this work. I hope I can keep it up because now that I'm kind of back, I wouldn't like to leave this again.

I was lucky enough last Saturday to spend the day with my lovely friend Liv in Haarlem. We've been wanting to meet up for a while, and Destiny was kind to us, so we could arrange a date pretty soon.

Haarlem is a city very close to Amsterdam, and I'm totally in love with it. It has my favourite museum in the entire Netherlands, a place that, maybe it's not too big, but is full of charm. I fell in love with it since the first time I was there, and believe me when I say that I have thousands of photos of this place and that this is not the first time I will be talking about it.

Lolitas around Amsterdam.

During October, the amazing Agnes was doing an internship here in Holland, and I had the amazing opportunity of meeting her in Amsterdam a couple of times. I must say that I've been following Agnes since long time ago when she was still called Pandasoppa and was wearing not only Lolita but Panda Poppare fashion and I even didn't relate her in those different styles (you can read about Panda Poppare here, here and here)!

The first day we met was when I was going with Thijs and Alberto to a Crystal Castles' concert, and we had a lot of fun looking for Halloween make up. Then our second time was the day she was leaving Holland; we had coffee together in one of my favourite places around Amsterdam, the Sluyswatch Cafe, walked around the city and visited some vintage stores like Retro & Chic, and later had again more coffee and a bite at lovely Bagels & Beans.

I must say that I'm really looking forward to meeting more Lolitas in here; for the moment I've been busy and couldn't meet only Agnes and Lula Pyu, a Spanish Lolita from the south of the country, like me!
On Sunday I'm going back to Spain for a week, so I can visit my family and spend there my birthday, but when I'm back I really should try to meet them all :)

PS: I've changed the banner and some little details here on the blog, you like it?

Next 15 of May there's gonna be a global demonstration and I really think you all should go. For those you love. For yourself.

PS: Gracias Helena por las fotos <3

And with the spring... Cropped trousers arrived!

I must confess that something weird is happening to me: spring is coming and I have the urge to wearing trousers! But not any type of trousers, nopes: you've seen me with dungarees or slim black jeans. Also sometimes with shorts... But this time I was feeling I wanted a pair of cropped trousers, son in fashion last year and these days.

I found these ones at Bershka, and they're really nice. Fresh for spring and summer, and of course in black will combine every outfit. The rest of the clothes are all old, you know I don't buy that many clothes these days, only when I need or really want something (like trousers). It's good to buy only what you really need because you feel that you're not throwing your money off, and also you get to use more the things you have. Remember I spent more than a year without buying clothes? Nowadays Cynthia from Somewhere is doing the same and she feels the same!

Btw something really nice happened this week, and is that I met Sandra Beijer after 8 years following her! She came with Flora, another cute Swedish blogger, to Barcelona only for a day, but they were soooo lovely to meet me! Hope to see you again soon girls!

¡Espero volver a verlas pronto!

Lost photos from SOS 4.8 Festival

Last May we went to SOS 4.8 Music Festival in Murcia, and I found today photos from my digital camera. There aren't great pictures, but also wanted to show them.
