Put your arms around me, fiddly digits, itchy britches... I love you all

This weekend I watched Frank, an Irish film directed by Lenny Abrahamson who shares the story of Frank a charismatic person who lives behind a big fake head and has a band, the Soronprfbs.

Jon (Domhnall Gleeson) is a frustrated songwriter who joins the Soronprfbs, an experimental band with a very peculiar leader, Frank (Michael Fassbender). They go to Ireland for the recording of their first album, and there they have to solve some problems, as the hate that Clara (Maggie Gyllenhaal) has for Jon.

They finally record the album, and thanks to some videos that Jon has been posting on Youtube, they go to South by Southwest festival at Texas. There, they have more fights and something bad happens...

I must say that I've enjoyed the film so much, and the music is amazing. I couldn't imagine that Michael Fassbender has this amazing voice, and I would love that the Soronprfbs would have released that first album for real because it sounds amazing.

If you love music and artists like Daniel Johnston, you'll love and enjoy this film so much as I did.

Este fin de semana he visto la película "Frank", de Lenny Abrahamson; y todos deberíais de verla, porque además de divertida, cuenta una historia interesante de lo que puede ser el proyecto creativo de algunas bandas musicales.

- I've never loved anyone the way I loved you. - Me too. Now we know how.

Yesterday night I watched "her", from Spike Jonze, and it was a really, really REALLY beautiful film.

If you haven't seen it yet, it's about a man who's gonna divorced and start a relationship with an artificial intelligence program. Sounds weird, but it's amazing.

I think that, since "Closer", I haven't been so touched with a film. This was pretty awesome.

It's sad. It made me think of him. And although I know I left him for good, I still miss him so much.

Seriously, watch this film.

It's hard to get around the wind.

Yesterday night I saw Submarine, a film by Richard Ayoade from 2011; and I totally fell in love with it.

I've been listening to the soundtrack (by Alex Turner) for a while, but it wasn't until yesterday that I had the time and mood of watching it.

I like what I like to call 'little films'. I mean, I normally don't like big productions with great special effects and that kind of stuff in the cinema. I love the little stories well told, everyday things that count in life; the thing that when you're old you'll remember as a big adventure.

Submarine talks about that first love which will mark you for the rest of your life. Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts, splendid), a not very popular teenager, fells in love with Jordana Bevan (Yasmin Paige), a weird and thug girl from his class. What at the beginning looks like an impossible love story sooner become to a young first love that Oliver doesn't how to deal with.

Jordana is having some issues at home, and Oliver is not having a good time there too. He tries to help his parents with their relationship, forgetting about Jordana in a very hard moment.

Don't expect a big movie. Don't expect the greatest love story above all times. Don't expect a mature main character or a complicated plot. Submarine has nothing to do with this. But it leaves you with a little smile in your face, provoking you might remember that first love or making you wonder why there were not more guys like Oliver Tate in your institute.

It's curious. I always wanted to have a red coat, and maybe be a little more like Jordana. But in the end I always get the blue coat and look like Oliver.

Blog, the film.

Yesterday I did something really special for me. I went to a private show of the new Elena Trapé film, Blog. The story about a group of teenagers who decide to do something different together... become pregnant.

Based on a true story happened in the USA, the film tries to explain why these group of teenagers decided this. I wrote a little article on my Facebook yesterday, and I want to share it with you. It's in Spanish, but you can use the Google Translator... please, read it and give me your opinion!

Modepass interview

Modepass, the fashion community, made me an interview last week and posted it today! You can read the interview here if you want; it's a little bit long but I think you'll find it interesting, as they asked me not only about fashion, but also the relation between psychology and fashion!

I hope you all like it :)

Yesterday I went to Flea Market with Laia, Esther and Micky. This time it was in a bigger place near Marina; and I found some cute things, including a dress for my mom (that I'm not posting here because she sometimes reads my blog and... no, mom, it's a surprise!). I must say that all these things cost me 3 €/each... big bargain!

Lovely yellow heels from Irregular Choice with a Japanese theme.
Cool handbag, so mod!
Vintage dress that reminds me to Elinka; I'm thinking about doing a sailor collar for it!

And after Flea, we went to the cinema and saw Where the Wild Things Are...

I must say that before seeing this film, I was loving the book... and after the film... I can't only say that you all must see it.

I love Max and his world, the way he changes his mind and the monster that is inside of him; maybe because when I was his age, I had a similar monster inside me, and still is there, but now I know how I can treat it... that's Max's adventure, the way of knowing and treating the monsters that are inside of us... a wonderful adventure...

So please, go with him and discover where the wild things are... because we all have been there almost once in our life!

In two days I'll be travelling to my home for Christmas! It's raining in almost all the country... winter is here, and tonight is the longest night of the year... so enjoy it!

Sahakiel and the Inglorious Basterds

Hi everyone! How's your weekend going? I hope that everything is ok with you all!

Well, I know, so... first of all... tadaaaaaaaa!

So, finally, I did it! Me with my new hair, hehe! I really like it, more than blonde!

On Friday I went to the cinema just for watching "Inglorious Basterds", by Quentin Tarantino. I must say that I really enjoy the film; the story was quite funny; and I LOVE the aesthetics of the film, the clothes that the women were wearing was wonderful: hats, headpieces, shoes, suits ... I was really excited every time I saw one of them.

Yes, I really loved the character of Mélanie Laurent; she was my favourite!

And of course, we took a picture doing the dumb...

And yesterday night, I went out with my cousin Rocío and some friends; we had a lovely time. Rocío is moving to Berlind next weekend for a year... I hope I could go visit her throughout the year!

T-shirt - Stradivarius Jacket - Pull&Bear Skirt - Vintage Tights - Zara Boots - Mustang Hairband - Primark

And today, Sunday, I went with my mother to an antique market in Sabinillas, but there were few interesting things. I bought a pair of spoons thinking of Laia from Let me feel like a doll; to see if I do something with them for us! our obsession are gonna kill us, sweetheart!

What did you do this weekend?

I had a present.

Hi everybody!

How are you going this weekend? Mine is still fairly tranquil, including house cleaning and make some crafts.

I did not mention the other day, but on Thursday I received a gift. All summer I have been treating an adolescent guy with behavioral problems, and Thursday was our last session. When finished, he and his mother gave me this beautiful box with a pretty necklace. I must say I was pretty excited, I did not expect!

The truth is that it was a nice touch!

Indeed, on Thursday night I had a flash of lighting and I modified an old denim skirt that I wore. It was long and somewhat boring, so I cut, I put a few pins, I made a bow and wrote in French, "Lila Says", the name of a movie that I like. This was the result:

T-shirt - Zara
Skirt - Greencoast modified
Red tights - Calzedonia
Socks - Oysho
Pumps - Mustang
Hairbow - claire's
Belt - Offbrand

And on Friday night we were in the cinema watching the latest film by Isabel Coixet, "Map of the Sounds of Tokyo". The film itself is beautiful and makes spectacular sound processing, you can listen to the actors chew.

Then we went to have a few pints of beer at the brewery "El Cairo".

And of course, I had a small picture on the carousel of cinema.

Punk Lolita rocks!
Tiger Army T-shirt - Bought at Sziget
Skirt - Putumayo
Tighs - Calzedonia
Cardigan - Blanco
Shoes - Tao Bao
Scarf (on my head) - Vintage

I hope that your weekend is still fun!
