Hi there!
I know I've been a terrible blogger for the past weeks, but as I've got no internet connection (I hope this week or maybe next I would have it) and I've been so busy with work and other things... I couldn't post! Fortunately, every time I have internet, I try to read all your blogs... so maybe I don't leave any comments, but I read them all, promise!
Lots of people asked me why I love Sweden so much; it seems so strange for them how I could love this country and sometimes they don't understand why I want to spend the rest of my life there, "a girl from the south, from a hot country, like you", they said.
Well, here you've got a little explanation (maybe so romantic) about it...
The clouds, the sky... I know this could be applied to all the world, but every time I go to the north, I love more and more the sky...
- Winter, cold winter, with lots of snow, and coats, and boots, and umbrellas, and everything white...
- Spring and summer... TRUE spring and summer, with all-around green and alive...
- Nature, all the nature you want... almost into the wild.
- But at the same time, the city lights...
- You can see the wild nature of the fields, but also of the sea... (in this picture: Malmo)
- The language, I LOVE how Swedish sounds!
- The colours; when spring arrives, the colours are so brighter (in the pictures: Stockholm, Uppsala).
- The music; I've realized that a big part of the music I love is from Sweden.
- Rain, rain, rain, rain...
- The buildings: not too small, not too tall... perfect for seeing the landslide and keep the light.
But the truth is so simple: it's my dream since I was 7 years old since I can remember since I dream with snow; so don't try to get another explanation.
Qué preciosa entrada, la de hoy!
ReplyDeleteTan romántica, tan sensible...Qué bonito todo.
Me gusta todo lo que has dicho, pero no he tenido (aún) el placer de disfrutarlo, aunque no está para nada descartado.
Feliz jueves!!

I've been to Sweden a few times and it is truly nice there. I am from Norway, so it is much of the same weather, though the nature is a bit different :)
ReplyDeleteReally inspiring! I have been to Finland but not Sweden - shock horror. This post makes me want to book my flight :)
i can totally relate to your thoughts on spring and summer and the green nature, as i lived in spain for one year (now back home in the north though).
ReplyDeletefinland is nice too! ;)
what a wonderful post
ReplyDeleteSo no explanation is needed. You have a dream and have to follow it or it will consume you. Dreams a powerful things.
ReplyDeleteMy advise: do not talk any more, just, jum into it and it will be ok.
I am back from hospitol, and my operation find!!

i love this post, i've always wanted to go to sweden for many of the same reasons as you! especially their language ;D x
besos y mucha mucha suerte
Yo amo Suecia...
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see Sweden thorugh your eyes! You seem to love the city I live in just as much as I love the one you live in :-) Go to Stockholm next summer, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
xx
It looks so gorgeous there, I can understand perfectly why you'd want to live there forever and ever. My best friend is actually from Sweden, and she's always telling me the nicest stories about it! We might even take a trip there next year since her grandma has a house there. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful and poetic post. I love your passion, dear. It's so inspiring. I can really relate to dreaming of a place for so long. These amazing pictures have me falling in love with Sweden now!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Sweden, but have always had the same feelings about Mexico!!And lOVED it when I finally went there!

ReplyDeleteI've never been to Sweden but it's my dream country to go! You have a nice blog btw. (:
ReplyDeleteI live in Sweden, but I thought most of the people think Swedish sounds weird!
ReplyDeleteOye! Que estoy un poco desconectada. Tienes ya trabajo? En dónde? De qué? Me tienes que contar. A mí desde luego me has convencido con tus argumentos! Qué colores.

B* a la Moda
I went to Sweden four or five years ago and love it so much! It is my dream to move to Scandinavia... the sky is different and so beautiful. I love the cool weather and the little and colourful buildings. The people are so sweet and the food is so good. I miss Europe!
ReplyDeleteoh, you made sweden sound wonderful! i'm swedish originally but i moved to london last year. it wasn't until i moved away from stockholm that i realised how beautiful it truly is.
yay go sweden! :)
ReplyDeletebut i gotta say, the 6 months of cold and darkness is way too much for me! thats why I left!
Sometimes I forget how beautiful my country really is, thank u for making me realize that I live in a place where the nature is green and clean. And the winter is white and glittering!
