And this path will tour the kings and queens of tomorrow (Poland days 4 & 5)

Today I finally I bring the end of my trip to Poland, I will show the route of the Royal Route of Krakow, we did on my fourth day ...The road that crossed the Polish kings to be crowned!

The morning began with a short walk to the Floriańska Street, where we made the first stop at Michalika Jama's coffee to eat the cake that during his years of study in the city of Krakow, became the favourite of Pope Juan Pablo II: kremówka (crema).

After our coffee and kremówka, Jairo took me to Kościoł Mariacki (The Basilica of Santa Maria), where we come to admire its beautiful stained glass windows and where I also explained the legend of the basilica.

There is a story about the difference in height between the towers of Mariacki, because of the rivalry that arose between the two brothers builders. What started as an innocent competition ended with the murder of the younger brother by the elder brother, with a knife ... which comprises the Sukiennice today.

From the top of this tower every hour a trumpeter plays the Hejnał mariacki, a traditional Polish song airs at noon through the radio, and around the country. This tradition is done to commemorate the thirteenth century a trumpeter was killed by a shot in the throat while the alarm rang before they got a Mongol invasion.

Wawel (hill) of Krakow, where the castles are / Wawel (colina) de Cracovia, donde está el castillo.
A view from the Wavel / Vistas desde el Wawel.

What's hiding in this cave? Without a doubt, one of the legends of Krakow. When King Krakus built the castle on a cave inhabited by a dangerous dragon, he had to ask for help to stop him. Many knights tried unsuccessfully to dislodge the dragon fighting him until a shoemaker named Dratewka gave a sheep-filled with sulfur, the dragon ate, drank water from the Vistula River and burst.

And this is the dragon... he spits fire!!

Y este es el dragón... ¡escupe fuego!

After meeting the dragon, we headed Kazimierz, the Jewish quarter. We stopped at Plac Nowy to enjoy a delicious zapiekanka made from bread, cheese and mushrooms (I added mine chicken, other cheese and garlic sauce); delicious!

In these stairs were filmed scenes from the film 'Schindler's List'.

After lunch, we decided to take a little more strength taking tea at Alchemia cafe, whose interior was just curious as you entered the different rooms of a large house to go from one room to another.

We lost some time in the neighbourhood, visiting from a Jewish bookstore to a cemetery and then cross the bridge to the Podgórze district, where we visit the church of San Jose, whose architecture is more Austrian court. There Jairo also showed me what will be our future home when we are immortal, and then go home ...We were exhausted from the long day!

Lovers put locks on the bridge to Podgórze to signal their love.

On my last day in Poland, we returned to Warsaw and we had dinner in a Pijalnia piwa i wódki (beer and vodka) and then have a few beers with Jairo's friends in the halls of Nowy świat al Pewex and the Chwila.

 Drink drink drink!
 Beer and hot wine <3

The truth is that it was a fabulous trip and, if all goes well, will be back soon to Warsaw ... Who knows? Spring decide ...
I hope that if you decide to visit Poland, my experience will be useful!
