I'm a Firestarted, twisted firestarted (SOS 4.8 Festival, day 1)

The pasts 2 and May 3 was held in Murcia SOS 4.8 Festival, which is gradually becoming one of the musical events of our country. You can read a chronic and see some pictures of it at C'Mon, with whom many of you know I collaborate. However, on Friday afternoon, Laia and I got off to a park near the house of Sergio (our great host) and we took some very funny pictures. Here you can see mine, thanks Laia!

Los pasados 2 y 3 de Mayo se celebró en Murcia el SOS 4.8 Festival, el cual poco a poco se está convirtiendo en uno de los eventos musicales de nuestro país. La crónica y algunas fotos del mismo las podéis ver en C'Mon, con quienes muchos ya sabéis que colaboro; no obstante, el viernes por la tarde, Laia y yo nos bajamos a un parque junto a la casa de Sergio (nuestro genial anfitrión) y nos hicimos algunas fotos de look, muy divertidas. Moreover, during the day before and that afternoon I did some more photos. The day before we had arrived about seven in the evening, and after a quick shower, we went to dinner all together at "La Sidrería Escondida", a great Basque restaurant where we ate like kings.

Then we went to have a dance to "Revolver" until some decided to make a withdrawal in time to be rested for the next day, the first day of the festival; during which we could see bands like Trajano!, The Strypes, The Kooks, Prodigy or Bloody Beetroots.

Además, durante el día de antes y aquella tarde hice algunas fotos más. El día anterior habíamos llegado sobre las siete de la tarde, y tras una ducha rápida, nos fuimos todos juntos a cenar a "La Sidrería Escondída", un estupendo restaurante vasco donde comimos como reyes.

Luego nos fuímos a echar unos bailes a "Revolver" hasta que algunos decidimos realizar una retirada a tiempo para estar descansados para el siguiente día, el primero del festival; durante el cual pudimos ver a bandas como Trajano!, The Strypes, The Kooks, Prodigy o Bloody Beetroots.

Although all concerts were spectacular, I can safely come forward at all for me, without any doubt, the best thing was to reconnect with some of my friends who came from all parts of Spain. Nusk, Bea, Eva, Octavio and Sergio ... and of course, Laia and Ivan; thanks for a weekend so great!

Aunque todos los conciertos fueron espectaculares, puedo adelantaros a todos con seguridad que para mí, sin duda alguna, lo mejor fue reencontrarme con algunos de mis amigos, venidos de todas partes de España. Nusk, Bea, Eva, Octavio y Sergio... y por supuesto, Laia e Iván; ¡gracias por un fin de semana tan estupendo!

My weekend with Gabby Young & Other Animals

Last April during Easter I received a very special visit: Gabby Young and one of her "animals" Milly McGregor, was in Barcelona staying at my place for a few days, giving a concert at the Bar Alfa (whose review at C'Mon you can read here) and exploring the city, guided by me.

El pasado mes de Abril surante la Semana Santa recibí una visita muy especial: Gabby Young y una de sus "animales", Milly McGregor, estuvieron en Barcelona alojándose en mi casa durante unos días, ofreciendo un concierto en el Bar Alfa (cuya review en C'Mon podéis leer aquí) y conociendo la ciudad, guiadas por mí.  

The truth is that for both Milly and Gabby was an adventure to get to Barcelona, as the leading car broke down in the middle of the night and it was not until nearly seven o'clock the next day that they arrived safely to my house, just in time to get to the concert. But once past the bad times, the weekend became a great adventure which all enjoyed.

Lo cierto es que para ambas fue toda una aventura llegar a Barcelona, ya que el coche que conducían se estropeó en mitad de la noche y no fue hasta casi las siete de la tarde del día siguiente que pudieron llegar sanas y salvas a mi casa, con el tiempo justo para llegar al concierto. Pero, una vez pasado el mal trago, el fin de semana se tornó una estupenda aventura de la cual todos disfrutamos mucho.  

The truth is that I have no words to describe the weekend we spent together; you cannot imagine how much I appreciated the power to meet these fantastic women, and how much it has helped me with their visit, company and words. We laughed together, we get excited together, dream together, and during the days of their visit, we lived in a bubble full of magic and joy which, to this day, it remains difficult to exploit and still makes me smile.

 
From here I want to give my sincere thanks to Gabby and Milly for that great weekend they gave me, in which I could be part, and in which they making me feel part of those "other animals."

La verdad es que no tengo palabras para describir el fin de semana que pasamos juntas; no os podéis imaginar lo mucho que agradecí el poder conocer a estas fantásticas mujeres, y lo mucho que me ha ayudado su visita, su compañía y sus palabras. Reímos juntas, nos emocionamos juntas, soñamos juntas y, durante los días que duró su visita, vivímos en una burbuja llena de magia y de alegría la cual, a día de hoy, sigue siendo difícil de explotar y todavía me hace sonreír. 

Desde aquí quiero darles las gracias más sinceras a Gabby y a Milly por ése estupendo fin de semana que me regalaron, del cual pude ser partícipe, haciéndome sentir parte de ésos "otros animales".

Fashion Revolution Day and vintage outfit

A couple of weeks ago I went with Marta to Barcelona's Fashion Revolution Day, a day to think about fashion and how it's produced. There was an amazing fashion show, all made with sustainable fashion. 

Hace un par de semanas fui con Marta al evento preparado para el Fashion Revolution Day en Barcelona, un día dedicado a reflexionar sobre la moda y cómo es producida. Hubo un estupendo desfile de moda sostenible para acompañar a esta jornada de reflexión. 

Fashion can be sustainable, can be fair and, above all, be worthy for all who work in it. This message, along with a call of attention to the deplorable conditions under which many workers do their work in India, were the main topic of this edition.

La moda puede ser sostenible, puede ser justa y, sobre todo, puede ser digna para todos los que trabajan en ella. Éste mensaje, junto a un llamamiento de atención a las lamentables condiciones bajo las cuales muchos trabajadores realizan sus labores en la India, fueron el principal tema de esta edición.

As ussual, Marta took some pictures of my outfit. This time I was wearing a vintage dress I found at a small shop at Gracia, tights from Mia de Milazzo x Madame Chocolat, old Suiteblanco shoes (painted in black by me), Forever 21 sunglasses, old Pull&Bear bag and offbrand beret.

Como viene siendo costumbre, Marta me hizo algunas fotos de mi look. Ese día llevaba un vestido vintage que compré en una tiendecita del barrio de Gracia; medias de Mia de Milazzo x Madame Chocolat, unos viejos zapatos de Suiteblanco pintados de color negro por mí; gafas de Forever 21 y bolso de Pull&Bear. La boina la compré por Ebay.
