Whe I wanted to be like Marianne Faithfull

Hi there everyone!

Today we made the photo shoot and I think that the editorial it's gonna be good... but I'll talk about it better really soon.
I'm so tired today, so I only had read your lovely comments (thank you! tomorrow I'll answer all of them, promise ;)! ) and listened to old Marianne Faithfull songs.

Girl, you really got me

We've been waiting for a 60s night for so long! And yesterday, we had it! Well, it was only Laia and me, but we had a lovely time by the end of the night...

A place called home

These days are so hot around Barcelona, and summer is almost here in Spain, where spring and autumn are so short. I must say that I don't like summer in Spain, it's so hot and I feel so bad from dawn to dusk, with all the hot weather. I'm so scared of the sun since I get burned when I was a child...

Ridding a scooter is driving me crazy

I can't sleep tonight, but I'm not so inspired too for writing a long explanation here... so I leave you with a little bit of inspiration... I so badly wish I could go to Carnaby Street back in the 60s...

I don't know why but I want an Union Jack

These days I don't know why, but I'm thinking so seriously about leaving Spain in the next few months and moving into UK, Germany or Sweden... well, I know that I would end my days on Sweden, but the other two countries are beating so deep in my heart, especially the UK, just because I can't stop listening to The Who and think about that gorgeous Union Jack jacket.

Nothing in the Silence

Silence is what sometimes you can listen in the big cities; silence inside the buildings, older that our life. Silence is a precious gift in the middle of the industrial noise that is around us.

Today, I discovered silence in the middle of Gracia. The place that you see is the entrance of a very old building (over 100 years, in a modernist style). We took some pictures in the entrance, and after that, we walked inside it; we couldn't take pictures inside... but it was gorgeous, cold, alive... and silence.

Rude girls, don't love a rudie!

I think that is not something strange that the mods evolved into the skins. I mean, the depression of the country and the change of the style, perfectly normal in any fashion style; provided the perfect emergence for the rude boys (maybe the parents of the skins culture). The clothes change, the attitude changes... but, what about the girls?

They changed their style too, but without refusing to the cute skirts and feminine shapes (although sometimes you can see the rude girls wearing the typical jeans with a shirt and suspenders). I think that the above picture is one of the best examples I could find, because you can see a mod girl and what could have been a rude girl, both with an awesome style (in my opinion).

Two mod girls having fun
An actual skin girl

But please, make no mistake with what I'm saying; I'm not talking about politics or ideologies, I'm just speaking in the change of a style during the sixties...

 A skinhead's party?

Who said that skins were only white people?

The rude boys and girls started to use clothes made of very good quality, so they could last a long time. I guess that's why the rude girls left nice dresses and started to wear the typical clothes that nowadays everybody knows as skin's clothes.
But I really love the step between both styles... I find it really awesome!

By the way, thanks for your lovely comments on my last entry, they mean a lot for me! And thanks again for your advises for the cold weather in Berlin; we're staying finally in a lovely hostel... I can't wait for going there on Friday!

Friday inspiration: Happy anniversary, Twiggy!

Hi everyone! It's been a few days without writting, but I'm back! I've been a little bit busy!

But before we talk a little about my week, I'd like to share with you some pictures of twiggy in honor of its sixtieth anniversary.

Twiggy is still today one of the most charismatic and groundbreaking women on the planet. In the sixties her image and innovative mod look broke with the previously established stereotype. While I have always found extremely thin, also I find it fascinating and beautiful woman.

Congratulations on your sixtieth anniversary, Twiggy!

Also, looking for pictures of the famous model, I met Mary Quant gaps and designs that I love ... and that makes me think of a dress I saw the other day and you can buy me, because I love it!

The Stones with a Patty Boyd wearin a Mary Quant dress.

And I can not speak of the sixties without mentioning my great idol, Davi Bowie ... how handsome he was! Do you know that my father looked like he was young? Let's see if I look a picture.

On Tuesday we went to Sabadell Nati's birthday at a Japanese restaurant that was not bad, though they wanted us to eat more sushi than recommended for your health!

Dress - H&M
Tights - Calzedonia
T-straps - Promod second hand
(Yes, my new hair color is darken but in my room there's no light, so it looks like almost black and it's not like this!)

On Wednesday I went to Ikea with Stefani, Mareen and Martina, my roommates, and we bought many things for our rooms and for general household: candles, blankets, dried flowers ... I will come back yet again find a shelf ... and to buy more meatballs! I love Ikea food!

And yesterday was raining all day until nearly night. Esther, Elena and I had a coffee before lunch, while we were waiting to Laia for going to the new Cos shop (a branch of H & M) that have opened in Barcelona. They have beautiful clothes, though a little expensive for my pocket. We were also trying on clothes in Adolfo Dominguez.

Afterhaving lunch and taking a walk in the rain, at which point I got soaked, I was with Kim, Esther's boyfriend, who is a filmmaker and a while we were talking about lot of things.

Finally I returned home, but before I bought socks imitation Miracle Angelic Pretty Candy ... I laughed a lot to see and to me I had to take!

This afternoon I will stay home until 7, as I have to send an email to try to attend the Tea Pary of Baby the Stars Shine Bright at that hour, Wish me luck!

PS: My look of yesterday! I was wearing a coat too and my red umbrella!

Tshirt - Bershka (it's really old!)
Skirt - Bershka
Tights and socks - Calzedonia
Shoes - Bodyline
Headbow - Calire's

Yes, I must change my posture for pictures, hahaha!
