But I am a horror

Maybe you won't believe it, but from time to time, I wear trousers. And if they're combined with a t-shirt from one of my favourite bands, it's better, right?

This was the first t-shirt I bought after my surgery almost two years ago. It's a boy t-shirt, so you can imagine how comfortable is!

In the arms of Sleep

Industrial

Hi there!

As you can imagine, I'm still here in Algeciras with my family and some friends; but soon I'm coming back to Barcelona. My recovery is going so good, and I'm very happy about that! So now it's time for me to come back and continue with my life there :)

Yesterday I was visiting my godmother and cousins, and besides their place, there is this big abandoned warehouse. When I was a little girl this wasn't like this, so I was really curious about seeing it now like this. I must say I love abandoned warehouse, they're sometimes really creepy and decadent.

I also found yesterday this old bag, I think I bought it at London back in 2002/03 when I went there with my mother, and I think I'm using it again <3

Tropical Coven

Summer's here, and even the witches need to take some fresh air sometimes ;)

Last week I finally could go out home alone, so I met some of my friends and had dinner with them. I also bought this shirt from Stradivarius, as I needed something like this for the first week after my surgery... it was the first time I bought in a shop like this since last November (and after seeing what they have, nothing that fits my style, I think it's gonna be a long time until I come back).

So I met Rose, Anabel and Miguel Luis for a lovely dinner at a new sushi restaurant around Algeciras. I must say that maybe is not the best restaurant in the world, but the sushi was pretty good and we really love it!

Have a nice day! :D

My heart is as black as your soul (outfit & opinion).

My mother bought this Zara dress a couple of years ago, and so far we haven't used it either. Because she did not quite feel comfortable with him; and, obviously, because it didn't fit me because of my bust.

It's funny how something as silly as a dress can make you feel good or bad. How, despite being healthy and in your line, having more or less bust can make you feel more or less fat.

It is not that I felt fat in recent months (you know all that I had lost so much weight during the past year), but put on some clothes and mark specific regions of your body, hiding other (in this case, my bust hid my waist) created an optical effect of fat in my figure, and as you can see now, it was not real.

The problem comes when, despite being aware of all this, you have to endure insults and comments about your figure. Especially by strangers, without knowing you even in person, feel entitled to insult anonymously. People completely forget that this is your body, not theirs; and the important thing is to feel comfortable and at ease with yourself (if health should take precedence above all).Anonymity on the Internet and in real life (that person who crosses the street and insults you, and who you may not see again in your whole life) makes us think we can comment and insult those who do not know with complete freedom, but my question is ... could it be that it puts us a veil in front of the mirror before us, preventing us from seeing our shortcomings? Life is too short to worry about what others say or worry about others that don't really interest you. Live and let live. Be happy, enjoy. You only live once.

Vive y deja vivir. Sé feliz, disfruta. Sólo vives una vez.

One week after.

Hi there!

So here I am, one week after my surgery, in Algeciras with my family. This is a quick post to let you know that I'm ok and I feel good! Last Monday I went to the doctor and he said that everything's going so well, I'm really happy!

My mom took some photos, so you all could see how I look right now :)

I still have to rest, but seriously, I feel much better. They took 1kg off me on the surgery (500 gr from each breast) so you can imagine what this means to me.

Let's see how it goes!

Birthday Girl

Hi there!

Yesterday was my birthday, another year! I always stop to think a little bit during this time, and I do a balance between my birthday this year and last, as well as throughout the past year. The truth is that it has been a long and intense year; my birthday last year was marked by a very sad event in my life, and the beginning of the year was not very positive too. I was pretty sad, but I decided not to give up and, after recovering some strength and compose myself piece by piece, I got up and kept walking forward.

As many will know, today is World AIDS Day. Despite being a disease known for all (both its effects on our body and its methods of transmission), today many infections continue to occur worldwide. Spain, without going further, is above the European average in terms of infections' rate.

From AID FOR AIDS and the Fundación Lucha contra el Sida have proposed the slogan "Be a Hero", but I don't think that we necessarily need to look for heroes to fight against AIDS (another issue is to seek out "heroes" to donate and raise funds for research), I rather believe that you need to focus on a task that we've been forgetting lately: PREVENTION. The effectiveness of the medication has succeeded in controlling the development of the disease and keeps the infection under control, which has led to a "relaxed attitude" among potential affected. So yes, we have relied on the issue of prevention!

From the Anti-AIDS Committee of Algeciras and Coordinadora Barrio Vivo have launched a campaign under the slogan "See clearly", which advocates not only visualize the current problems of the disease and its sufferers, but also highlights the importance of prevention (an area in which, as you know, the Government of Spain have reduced the annual investment, despite the more than three thousand annual infections of the disease that occurs in our country).

I was a 90s teenage girl and I'm proud of it.

When I was in Algeciras I searched among the old vinyl records that we have at home, and I found some gems that I used to listen when I was younger.

Let's go to India!

Who does not dream of travelling to strange and exotic places? No, I'm going to India (I wish!), but last Sunday I went with the girls to an Indian restaurant and we had a wonderful time.

Bad dreams are made of me.

One week ago I went back to Jerez for seeing the doctor. This time I went to a haematologist, who made me a couple of analytical tests to try to find out a bit about what happens to me. However, later this month I have more tests at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, to see if we get something clear soon.
