Modepass interview

Modepass, the fashion community, made me an interview last week and posted it today! You can read the interview here if you want; it's a little bit long but I think you'll find it interesting, as they asked me not only about fashion, but also the relation between psychology and fashion!

I hope you all like it :)

Yesterday I went to Flea Market with Laia, Esther and Micky. This time it was in a bigger place near Marina; and I found some cute things, including a dress for my mom (that I'm not posting here because she sometimes reads my blog and... no, mom, it's a surprise!). I must say that all these things cost me 3 €/each... big bargain!

Lovely yellow heels from Irregular Choice with a Japanese theme.
Cool handbag, so mod!
Vintage dress that reminds me to Elinka; I'm thinking about doing a sailor collar for it!

And after Flea, we went to the cinema and saw Where the Wild Things Are...

I must say that before seeing this film, I was loving the book... and after the film... I can't only say that you all must see it.

I love Max and his world, the way he changes his mind and the monster that is inside of him; maybe because when I was his age, I had a similar monster inside me, and still is there, but now I know how I can treat it... that's Max's adventure, the way of knowing and treating the monsters that are inside of us... a wonderful adventure...

So please, go with him and discover where the wild things are... because we all have been there almost once in our life!

In two days I'll be travelling to my home for Christmas! It's raining in almost all the country... winter is here, and tonight is the longest night of the year... so enjoy it!

And tonight I had a surprise at Mario and Javi's house...

Oh, my! A birthday cake!!

Javi's birthday is next week, and mine was last week... so this was a surprise for both of us!!

Lidya and Sergio gave me this lovely brooch, thank you!!

After this, I went to a new disco around the city, but I'll show you tomorrow when I get the pictures... anyway, how was your Saturday?

Ps: I've received two awards... yaw!!

Sleep the Clock Around...

Hi everybody! How was your Thursday? Mine was a little weird. Yesterday night there was an earthquake near Spain and I woke up at 3 o'clock in the morning and couldn't sleep until 8... nothing happened, but I felt the seismic waves!

Anyway, I want to show you today a lovely place called Demasié. Is a cute cafe near Urquinaona, in the centre of Barcelona. I went yesterday with my lovely Cris, Esther and Eric... wanna know Eric?

This lovely guy is Eric!

Our lovely meal!

And today, I went back again with Micky. I bought him his Christmas present (a light table for drawing) and he gave me mine (a pair of cool sneakers).

By the way, yes! Today I was wearing my yellow dress at last!

Sorry about the poor post, but believe me, I'm so tired... I only slept about 3 hours!! Next post would be cooler and better!

Now, with Belle and Sebastian (yes, the title of this post is a song from them), I'm off to bed... I hope your Friday would be great!!

The kids are sick again.

Parc de la Estació del Nord, Barcelona

Suddenly, the weather has changed, it is cold and that makes me a good mood ...

Hi everyone! How was your Tuesday? I spent my Tuesday with some friends around Barcelona, eating sushi, having a delicious tea in a lovely place called Rosa Blanca (an art-coffee bar) and looking for CDs (finally, I've got my "never seen the light of day" by Mando Diao, the Spanish special edition with sings!).

I keep thinking about men's fashion, and today I can think about three examples from the world of music to illustrate my tastes on the general male aesthetic, and why I don't feel it's boring at all.

The first one is Paul Banks, guitarist and singer of the band Interpol. The truth is that Paul seems like a fairly attractive man with exquisite style to choosing clothes. Always wears an elegant, sometimes even a little retro and mod style, uses shirts and suits jacket, either formal or casual. Furthermore, he's normally using a style of glasses that I love!

Another singer whose style is worth my attention is another Paul, but in this case is Paul Smith, frontman of the wonderful band Maxïmo Park. Besides being a person with a compelling charisma and dazzles you from the first moment in which jumps on stage (something I could live last summer), Paul has a very personal style of dress. For the proceedings is usually dressed in a jacket, shirt, bow tie or tie, always very elegant and wearing hats.

However, daily, choose a more casual or sport where you use caps, sneakers, jeans, shirts or polos; always trying to look fun yet formal.

And the third one is, fo course, Björn Dixgard from Mando Diao.

At concerts, he and the band usually choose a complete look black, although in many cases simply chooses shirt and jeans. The truth is that his style is nothing special (although the campaign he did for Ben Sherman makes me think otherwise), but I especially like the way they dress (and also Gustaf, the whole band in general).

I would also like to make a special mention to The Hives, another Swedish band that I love, they have great styling!

So, who's your favourite?
