The Brandery 2010 Summer Edition, Custo Barcelona Party and opinion.

This week we're having here at Barcelona the summer edition of The Brandery. On Monday, Laia, Cris, Albert, Eva, Saray and I went to a conference given by some bloggers. I'm going to talk about it later, and I must say that I'm sorry because I'll do it in Spanish, as I need to express myself properly and I don't know if I could say everything that I want in English; but feel free of use the google translator if you want to read about it.

I'll give you my bullets, you'll give me your love.

First of all, sorry for being a bad blogger these past days; but between my friend Sergio and the fact that I'm so busy doing my final project I couldn't post properly. But keep an eye here, because I'm publishing really soon some nice interviews!

I know it's only fashion (but I like it!)

A few days ago I came around this article (here in Spanish) about Lady Gaga and the Illuminatis.

I don't have anything to do with this woman. I mean, I don't hate her or love her, but she's an artist and has a great team of stylists and marketing that create all those "wonderful" look that thousand of people love (for me it's ok, but only ok).

And when I read those articles, I said... wtf? So now they said that Lady Gaga is an Illuminati? What kind of joke is that?

I'm not explaining what an Illuminati is or how much I hate/love Lady Gaga; I only believe that this is stupid. So, if she's an Illuminati, some of my favourite bands are too... like Malice Mizer and all their butterfly and grotesque stuff, and their Illuminati video...

Kami, the drummer, was always related with butterflies, an Illuminati "icon"

Another one with lots of Illuminati iconoclastic is Marilyn Manson, with spiders, decadence and lots of "satanic" symbols around him, right?

The Disney factory, an Illuminati factor?

And of course, with Mr. Manson, Mr Reznor comes (and Maynard from Tool, too; but I only would talk about Reznor). Nine Inch Nails, which name makes reference of the nails that were used in the crucifixion...

You know, thinking about all these things, I really believe that it's only fashion and music, and people should be very boring for saying this kind of stupid things. Sometimes, we see what we want to see, no the real thing... and in this cirque du freak that the music (and fashion) world is... the shadows can cheat us.

By the way, I love music, really good music (as the one mentioned on this post; well, maybe Manson isn't what he was, but I still like his work)... and this is only music, but I like it. Fuck the rest. End of the story.

By the way and talking about strange people and Illuminatis and things like that... if you haven't met Iamwhoiam, just check the link and her gorgeous videos...

"b" is my favourite song, but I really love all her stuff...

And you can read an article at Vogue about her :)

 Have a nice Tuesday!

Mr. Schuman at Santa Eulalia: Sahakiel meets Scott.

"I believe that bloggers have a brilliant future in the fashion industry, but only if they've got something interesting to say about the world."

The Final Countdown.

First of all, sorry for being a bad blogger the last few days, and sorry for the days that are coming; my mom is here and I want to spend some time with her, but don't worry, next Thursday you'll recover the normal activity of my blog :)

Some changes are coming in my life; I need a job so much and I'm searching for it... so cross your fingers for me, please!

In other ways, and with this epic title I write here today to announce the theme of my final work of the postgraduate. Finally, we're changing it, and I'll not do the work about Barcelona. Instead of it, I'll treat something that it's quite interesting:

How fashion bloggers influence the current fashion world?

As you all may know by now, Forever 21 has made a collection of t-shirt inspired by some bloggers. Modcloth creates a dress inspired by their devotes bloggers. Tavi changes the rules of being a fashion blogger too... so I think this phenomenon is quite interesting.

And of course, I WANT YOUR OPINIONS about this. So if you have any idea, suggestion or whatever you want to say, please; e-mail me or write it here. I'm quite busy these days and I've got some correspondence pending of an answer, sorry! But I promise I'll write you all back as soon as I can.

Do you think this is an interesting report? I think so!

Just do it.

Just stop it okay. you always look so freakin' amazing in this adorable unique way. amazing.

This is a comment that this lovely girl left me on my Chictopia yesterday. And it makes me think a lot about it, really.

Maybe for all of you it's only the fact of saying "cute, lovely, I like it" when you see some of my outfits; but for me is more than this. I mean, I never wanted any kind of recognition or fame for my outfits; I know that they're not the "normal" outfits you see between fashion bloggers at all; and when some of you like the way I dress, it's really important to me.

I mean, I've always dressed as I wanted, but here in Spain and especially at Algeciras, people don't understand the way I used to do it (and so other people I know); so they used to blame me and shouted annoying things to me. Sounds stupid, sounds like if we were living in the Middle Ages, but it's true, and I'm sure that all of you have lived this at least once in your life.

So I had to learn how to do my ears like if I were deaf to this kind of comments, and continue to create my own style; which is really hard. It's hard when your friends don't understand you (almost all of them) when your boyfriend thinks that this is just "funny" and "ridiculous"; even your family finds this as something stupid. But it isn't.

Finding your own style and the way of being comfortable with yourself is really hard. For me, it is still, because there are sometimes when I don't like what I see in the mirror. But you must do it, because it's a part of your personality, of your personal development.

It's hard to find people who understand this kind of things. But I want to say to all of you that I do. So, don't be shy, and let the fashion being more than this, fashion itself. It's a way to express yourself, your feelings, your mood, your ideas. It's a way of being free.

I really would love to say these things to those people who laugh at you on the street. Because for me, this kind of people are sad, boring and has nothing better to do. And it shouldn't be like that.

So, to all of you, keep on going this great as always; and to Jerseyferrari; thank you, dear!

I'll try to do my best every day, I'll try to send this message always.

If the kids are united...

So happy Lolita's day to all the lolis who read my blog!

I must confess that I didn't know it was the ILD when I get dressed like this, maybe was destiny, I don't know! The point is that I went to the Mau Mau for a Music Flea Market.

Varg Timmem (The wolf's hour)

Varg Timem is one of my favourite songs from Hedningarna, a Swedish folk band that I really really love since a long time ago. I met them thanks to Dead Can Dance and some other dark folk bands. But I'll talk about this tomorrow, not today... because today, as I promised yesterday, I'm showing you my new clogs on the street!

Got no money to spend!

These are my secondhand Tommy Hilfiger clogs, bought by eBay only for 23€. You don't need to spend lots of money for being in fashion... here are some more examples:
